Who among us does not dream of flying for a week or two or third somewhere to warm countries? Where the sea splashes, the sun warms, where both the soul and the body rest … I think everyone dreams of this. Only here, in connection with the economic situation, many more can afford a full-fledged tour to the warm shores, but not everyone. What to do? You can save or take a loan and not refuse yourself anything, but you can try to save money. Not at the very rest, but on the road, that is, at the cost of the actual flights. There are two options: try to “catch” all sorts of sales actions of major airlines, or use the services of low-cost airlines – small air carriers that promise to deliver you to your destination for a penny. And if with large carriers everything looks clear and understandable, then with low-cost airlines the situation is not as unambiguous as it seems at first glance. So fly?
Why are these airline tickets so cheap? The answer is simple: they also want to save, as we are. And save literally on everything. By purchasing a ticket, you pay in essence only for the flight itself, and you need to pay for everything else if necessary. Including the usual food and soft drinks on board the aircraft. And it’s worth it, quite frankly, not cheap: for example, a glass of drinking water can cost you 4 euros.
“I did not fly on low-cost airline flights for more than two hours, so I didn’t worry much about food,” says Igor Barabanov, a customer of low-cost airlines with three years of experience. – But food is only part of the budget program of such airlines. They also save, for example, at airports: when flying to Milan, you can land not at the main airport, but in some suburb. Flying to Barcelona, ​​for example, I flew not to the Spanish capital itself, but to the airport, located more than 100 kilometers from it. And it was very uncomfortable. ”

As for the places, there is another nuance: if you are flying with your family or in a company, then during registration you will easily be “scattered” in different rows. How to make it sit down together? That’s right – pay extra. – As for the baggage, the only exception during my travels was Air Berlin. They call themselves low-cost airlines, but, in my opinion, this is an ordinary airline, says Igor. – So, they had to pass the suitcase in the luggage could be free. In all other cases, I had to pay. If you take all the things with you, then you need to enter the salon in the first rows, otherwise you will have nowhere to put your carry-on baggage: the shelves in the all-posters are always packed, and sometimes the bags are stored in the tail of the plane – where the flight attendants have utility rooms.
